Los Túneles Tour
Isabela's natural aquarium
The experience
For many people, Los Túneles is the finest day tour in all of Galápagos. A maze of lava arches and tunnels sinks into shallow turquoise water, creating a marine sanctuary with exceptional visibility.
In its channels it is common to swim alongside giant sea turtles, white-tipped reef sharks resting in caves, seahorses, eagle rays and penguins out fishing. On the arches, blue-footed boobies nest just a few metres away.
Lava arches over the sea
Formations found nowhere else in the world: lava bridges and tunnels above crystal-clear turquoise water.
Seahorses and reef sharks
Your guide will take you to the seahorses' hiding places and to the caves where white-tipped reef sharks rest.
Boobies at arm's length
Short walk over the arches among blue-footed booby nests.
