Punta Cormorant Tour – Floreana Island
Flamingos, green sand and snorkelling at Devil's Crown
The experience
Punta Cormorant, in the north of Floreana, brings together two unique beaches: one of olive-green sand from its olivine crystals, and another of fine white sand where sea turtles nest. Between them, a brackish lagoon is home to a colony of American flamingos.
The day is rounded off with snorkelling nearby — with the option of Devil's Crown when conditions allow — one of the finest marine-life sites in the archipelago.
Flamingo lagoon
Watch flamingos feeding in the coastal lagoon, alongside pintails and shorebirds.
A green beach and a white beach
Two beaches of entirely different origin, separated by a short trail: olivine on one side, ground coral on the other.
First-rate snorkelling
Crystal-clear water with turtles, rays and huge shoals of fish; Devil's Crown is legendary among snorkellers.
